Is this site down for everyone or just me?

Unfortunately, that site isn't fine-grained enough in its response. It only reports on the top-level of the site (which seems to be working but the HTML isn't laid out properly). Going to the forums seems not to work.

Of course, instead of giving me that link, you could've just confirmed or denied...

So, I ask my question again and rephrase it: is the forum part of http://coffeeforums.co.uk down for everyone or just me?

got myself a DeLonghi ECAM22320SB badboy bean to cup machine for xmas and wanting to make the most of it. :)

working great so far and already hit the 500 shot mark last night before new years (since the 16th Dec. when it arrived :D) so it's definitely getting well used, I just want to make sure i'm getting the most out of it as it was obviously a big purchase. :)

Congrats on the purchase and it looks like you are indeed clocking up the mileage on it.
Make sure youre following the maintenance routine (especially with that quantity going through it and if you have hard water).

Have you stocked up on freshly roasted beans? 3fe are flogging off their overstock of beans at a fiver a bag at the moment.

We actually have terrible quality water in Dublin 15, but I'm into aquariums and also like good testing water, so I have a reverse osmosis filter system that the drinking water in house goes through, so what hours into the machine is about as pure and soft as water gets. It also came with a water softening filter which is also already in it (belt and braces type thing) so I'm happy that setting the built in water softness setting (which will tell me when to descale and change filters) on the machine to its lowest setting still gives me plenty of breathing room. :)

They even put a little testing stick in with it to check and it was off the bottom of the scale for pretty much everything, so I'm sure it'll be fine.

Might check 3fe out, been using java republic monkey espresso or Haitian blurbs, but need something with a little more kick, or figure out how to set the bloody thing (other then the basics in the manual) to get the strongest flavour possible.
