    If I lodge a BOI cheque into AIB today. How long does it take to clear especially now that it is Christmas time? Thanks

    It takes 5 working days for a domestic BOI cheque to clear in another bank.

    Thanks for the reply. My cheque was a business cheque I think, it wasnt a domestic cheque.. It was typed.
    So if its lodges last Friday it cleared tomorrow week ?

    If the cheque was sent for clearance on Fri 20/12,  it should be cleared after close of business on Tue 31/12
