Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have to have a few rads (fairly large) fitted onto block walls which are covered with 62mm plasterboard.
I would like to know how they will be attached securely to the wall.
    Thanks for any info

    Thanks for reply.
Do the screws have to go through the plasterboard and into the wall behind or just into the p/board.
    Thanks

Always into the wall. Push the plug through the board into the block after drilling. Actually if it's 62mm board I'd use 120x6mm screws. Maybe some ct1 on the bracket to stop it sagging

Or bend the opposite Lshape lug to lock in the plaster board.

The opposite unused u shapes that the rad hangs on. Bend them 90degrees and bang them into plasterboard if that makes sense ? The opposite from what you use for a double or single panel rad. If not PM me your No.

    Another idea,
After you drill your holes for the brackets and tap in the wall plugs through the insulation,I would then drill a 15 mm hole through the insulation only,Then cut 63mm lengths of 15 mm copper pipe and fit these into the 15 mm holes drilled in the insulation.when fitting brackets the screws go through the 15mm copper pipe into the wall plug and you can tighten the screws home as tight as you can without compressing the 62mm insulation. The copper pipe acts as a brace to tighten against. You could stand on the radiator when finished and it wont budge
