New Hard Drive PS3

    Hi guys my hard drive failed in my PS3 last week and i went off and got a new one and fitted it to my PS3 silm

    But now i have a problem the PS3 wont read the firmware update off my USB.

    The USB is brand new only got about 40 mins ago and its reading on my mac.

    Anyway downloaded the latest update from the Sony site.

    Set up the USB with the way Sony said on the WEBSITE all Folders in Caps and move the update file into the folder for UPDATE

    I plug in the USB to the PS3 and press start and select and it can't read the update even do its on the USB

    Anyone have any ideas what i can do to fix this ?

    So the folder structure is :

    /PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.pup


    Is the drive FAT or NTFS ?

    Update just there i just copyed the folder names from the sony site and it worked :roll eyes: at lest its working now now to download all saved games from PSN and all my PS3 games again LoL

    Reformatted the USB to FAT on the mac as well.
