The police scene cracked me up. What kind of idiot doesn't know Mr. Nimbus controls the police

    Fun episode
    no Ma-Ti?

Was thinking maybe they got the cast of Captain Planet to voice these characters. They didn't but when looking was surprised first at Levar Burton doing a voice and then Meg Ryan voiced Dr. Blight.

Anyway, I think Summer is my favourite grandkid

Steve Buscemi voiced Eddie weird episode very few laughs Summer usually better than that. Morty was crap Rick was old and desperate

I thought episode 5 was very funny, some hilarious lines in it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,384 ✭✭✭whomitconcerns

A lot of people in the us really disliked episode 5, I liked it also, weird and a bit sick by times... But funny

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,152 ✭✭✭Gru

Thought it was alright, a bit silly I guess but had some decent laughs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,363 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Oddly, I started watching Hellraiser Bloodline last night so strange coincidence this episode features the cenobite type creatures.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭HalloweenJack

The latest episode was probably the one that got the most laughs out of me this season. The cenobyte psychology was hilarious and the names were brillaint.

I enjoy this show much more when it's being episodic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭HalloweenJack

The bizarre factor is just brilliant. I spend the entirety of the last episode chuckling at how absurd it all was and how they made something so formulaic into a ridiculous pisstake. I love it.

Have to say, not really enjoying the majority of this season. Summer has been consistently great, and there's been a few laughs here and there, but for the most part it's just feeling a bit bland.

Dan Harmon loves a Goodfellas homage doesn't he

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,295 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Episode 8 was probably the best in a fair while. Probably the best in S4 or 5

Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland are ending season 5 with a feature-length finale, which airs on September 5.

I knew Rick was really Doc!

To be honest I forgot the current season hadn't ended.

Sorry but I just think that looks terrible, maybe there's some context that will justify why it looks like a children's TV special. Also despite Doc Brown being an obvious influence for Rick, the characters are completely different and I just think Christopher Lloyd is wrong for the part.

There just promos right? And not actually what episodes 9 and 10 are going to be?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,211 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

One of or part of the episodes will be Samurai Jack inspired

I am thinking these two episodes will be Evil Morty related possible origin story or definitely what he has been up to all season will have to be touched on.

I'm the opposite. Would happily watch an episode like that.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

They kinda remind me of the live action bits at the end of the Back to the Future cartoon

    Best payoff ever

Jesus that post credit scene had me in tears

Darn forgot it was back, looking forward to watching it

I catch up with this on All4 and just hit play and for some reason it played episode 10 first, skipping over episode 9! I only noticed at the end when I wondered why a second wasn't queuing up. 😅

What did everyone make of the finale?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,811 ✭✭✭✭TheValeyard

It confused me a little bit, maybe I was watching it too late.

But I still enjoyed it. I enjoyed the Crow thing.

    Origin story made sense

The outside the Rick universe did confuse me

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

Thought Ep9 was total dogshit personally, episode 10 was a really solid finale and very decent overall.

All in all, like S4, some great episodes, some alright episodes, and some downright awful ones.

The wacky one off episodes were flat this year but the story arc episodes were great despite Dan and Justin saying they hate doing them

Wow, it'll be interesting to see all these characters in cartoon form.

That animé they released previously was pure muck.

Feels like it was produced for the asian market.

    Season 6 starts Septemebr 4th

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,974 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Starts back tonight in the States.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,358 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Opening episode of season 6 was on e4 (I am guessing can get on all4) really strong opener I thought! Season 5 was very up and down.

    Mr frundles!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 271 ✭✭jo187

Is the hype for Rick and Morty died down? Is it in South Park territory that's it's the die hards only now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,358 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

I don't know tbh, the 5th season was up and down but it's only on its 6th season, south park is on what 25?

If you look at the basic ratings you would have a point.

But that is only USA, I think it has spread pretty world wide now and people watch it via other means I would guess...

Yeah meant more so that South Park was hot then chilled out and kept going and now again get hot again. Be interesting if R&M goes the same way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,358 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Season 6 episode 2 was a LOT of fun!

    Promising for rest of season.

Die hard! Die hard! Die hard!

    Peter Dinklage!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,295 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

S6e1 was really interesting. I know Harmon says they don't want to do arcs but it's where the show is strongest.

Got a lot of little things and possible backstory confirmed.

Mad to think that way back in S1 Morty killed his whole planet just to basically date rape a girl.

    Season 6 Episode 2

"How many times can you say Die Hard?"

    "Yes!"

    Summer Die Harded quite well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,659 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

I was thinking how brilliant it would have been if Alan Rickman was still alive and willing to do the voice over for that episode.

Very good series so far, although episode 6 was only ok compared to the others.

Think that's it for the moment though. I think it's back in a few weeks time

    Season 6 resumes this week.
