    Hey guys,

I am in the process of upgrading my graphics card due to to witnessing the difference of what my 570 nvidia looks like in hd compared to my brothers 7850 on his projector. Needless to say the 7850 wins performance wise.
Bf4 really does seem to be a game built with ati cards in mind.
I bought a 7870 for 125 pounds on amazon last night and can't wait to get it running with my shiny new ssd.

which brings me to my question gents, what card are you using currently for killage and are you thinking of upgrading due to bf4 being quite demanding?

    P.s. merry Christmas :-D

Currently have a 7950, hoping to get a 290X or 780ti in a few months.

MSI GTX 660ti Twin Frozr OC edition, Runnign everything @ ultra except AA which is at 2X and no HBAO 70-100 fps @ 1920X1200
I might be selling it soon and going for a GTX 780 or R9 290 but the sensible part of my brain is saying keep it, its only 12 months old and runs BF4 and all games great.

7870 1920 ultra except for HBAO and AA

    Runs perfectly.

I would assume with Mantle out soon ATI cards would be the preferred choice of card. I'm curious to see what it does to my system, since I'm running on a Hypervisor.

An overclocked 560ti but I'm not even pushing it with this X3 Athlon. Looking at bumping that up to an X6 rather than bumping up the graphics card to be honest.

7950 black edition. Runs pretty much on ultra at 1920x1080

What res do ya have that as sparks? If your getting hd out of that on medium I'd be impressed.

    Medium? Pffft :D
1280x720 with everything on Low, bar the mesh which is set to ultra. I'm playing about with the settings (take a google for "bf4 graphics settings explained" for a few good threads with suggested settings) at the moment so I've got the FPS capped at 60 at the moment (60Hz monitor so why not). I'm maxing at 60 therefore (well, duh), but I regularly drop down to high 30s even on locker. And I've had more than a few losses when CQB dropped the FPS down into the teens or even single digits. Perfgraph though, shows that it's always the CPU getting overloaded in those cases, even though I've overclocked it at this point. I'm grepping through eBay for an X6 at the moment, as BF4 is apparently quite good with the multithreading so more cores would have more of an impact than more Hz on the clock.

(I have tried on lower resolutions btw, but the game's a bit unplayable for me at that stage and my monitor doesn't get on too well with them, being a bit of a touchy widescreen beast who already resents not running at 1920x1080...)

Overclocked 270, everything on high, textures on ultra - runs great.
Must take at look at some threads on optimizing the graphics all the same

    Edit:
Changed my settings to the ones recommended at Symthic.com
    2013-12-30 14:25:58 - bf4
Frames: 78315 - Time: 1070651ms - Avg: 73.147 - Min: 49 - Max: 149 - taken on Paracel Storm while the storm was going. Room to move a few settings up a notch I think.

I5 2500k @4.4ghz. 8gig, 1gig 6950. Mixture of medium and some low settings just to keep it constantly over 50fps on certain sections of maps. China Rising maps knock another few fps off :(

I swapped out my GTX 570 for a GTX 760 and overclocked my trusty old i7 920 to 3.7GHz. Runs smooth on Utlra but I've turned off all the blurs and I think turned down one or two settings, probably AA. Capped fps at 120 and it can drop to 50 at times but mostly stays between 60-100 @ 1680x1050.
