Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Arsenal score makes this game even bigger. City win will put us top by a point. Can't pass that up.

25 minutes left. Don't count on the Hammers not wilting.

    Edit: There's 1...

Jesus Christ, virtually every time we get excited about another teams result going in our favour....... If we keep winning, we will be fine. That is all we need to focus on.

TEAM NEWS: Hart, Zabaleta, Lescott, Kompany (C), Kolarov, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Nasri, Silva, Negredo, Navas

    Surprise surprise, Zaba's back!

Demichelis and Clichy out for Lescott and Lolarov. Silva, Nasri and Navas all start, Negredo up front alone. Hart stays in goal.

    Good team

Miraculous recovery from Zabaleta I see.

Draw would be marvellous, a win would be our best result in years. Cant see it, city are an attacking whirlwind at home and cisso does not inspire!

Liverpool Subs: Jones, Toure, Agger, Alberto, Aspas, Moses, Smith. That's Brad Smith a left back for those wondering.

Miraculous recovery from Zabaleta I see.

Had suspected it was going to happen, Pellegrini was being so coy about his and Aguero's fitness. Not much of an actor, wouldn't make it into the Christmas panto :D

Cannot believe cissokho is playing, rodgers with another mind boggler of a selection.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,937 ✭✭✭billy2012

Zabaletta back for them is huge, was alos hoping Toure wasn't going to make it!!

Still think we can get a result but we need to be at our very best!!

Flanagan and Kelly must both be injured. This is not good.

It's pretty obvious from the bench he had no choice.

    Cissokko is a joker.

    City to stroll to victory

All for calling something out when it makes sense but the bench suggests he has no other choice..

Kelly at rb and johsnon at lb seemd the obvious, kell has been playing lately. Yet he plays a lad whos been sitting in the stands for the last few weeks? Maddness. Hope im proved wrong obviously

Demichelis picked up a knock in training yesterday, that might have been the source of the rumour!

Less confident from a Liverpool perspective after seeing the teams. Flanagan injured and Cissokho starting for Liverpool. Zabaleta unexpectedly starting for City and Demichelis dropped. All moves that are bad for Liverpool and good for City.

Same was said about Flanagan. Cissokho has been awful but Rodgers didn't have many options. No point in writing him off before a ball has been kicked (I hope i'm right and he does a job)

Brad Smith is on the bench, hopefully he gets a run too

'The Rodgers' obviously going for the win...starting the goal machine Cissokho.

It's been a fairly hectic day in the EPL today, plenty of goals, comebacks, red cards and late winners.

    This better deliver :pac:

How is it a mind boggling decision if he has no other left backs?

For **** sake the man (Rodgers) just cant catch a break with some supporters.

Not much more a risk of Cissokho on the left than Kelly on the right. I wouldn't call it mental, or anything. Neither are ideal.

No Kelly on the bench would also show Rodgers had no other left backs available. Brad Smith is in the squad.

Enrique is injured, Flanagan is injured, and Kelly took a knock in training. Who exactly should Rodgers have picked over Cissokho ( a natural left back) for a less mind boggling selection? Should he have played a centre back at left back maybe?

What's up with Kelly? Starting to sound like it wasn't a choice at all, now.

Take Suarez out and you'd be all over City as the rest of that Liverpool side is very average.

    3-1 City still tho'

    Great test for Liverpool today.

Any result here and Top 4 is a definite reality for them.

A win then they are showing their title credentials.

Confidence and Suarez could take them far in this game but interesting to see how they react to have less possession than other games.

A draw would be a great result for Liverpool. Hopefuly City don't overrun us in midfield

There is no such thing as very average.
