got ps4 for young lad today.

new ps4 version of battlefield - trying to log on online and keeps saying I must be logged on to PSN.
But I am as far as I can see.

Any ideas on what I am missing?

    Thanks

Go to settings, PSN and see what it says there.

Start off with a"test internet connection".
See what results you get and we'll take it from there.

went to PSN and the option is to sign out - assume I am signed in then

tested internet connnection and it worked - albeit with a message that PSN was busy...but it finished with a success

I think you may need to link your PSN username to BF4.
It's straight forward if you were linked to BF3, but I seem to remember someone having an issue setting up a new account to play BF4.

Maybe sign up here, http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/, that way you can link your PSN name to your BF4 account.

    Nice one ,
we used BF4 on PS3 no bother.

But will have a look - looks like my PSN password doesn't fit the criteria for EA.
    Reckon that an issue?

    No, different sites.
My BF4 password is different than my PSN password.

I think once you sign in, you can check if your soldier is linked.

This may not even be the issue.

It may be just the servers are getting hammered with all the new PS4s.

    done.

however methink I didn't notice something. The full game is only 90% downloaded.

The campaign is 100% - now it's 100% and we can go online.
must have taken an age with the busy network

    many thanks for your help.
I tip my hit to you!

    That would be it.
It downloaded single player first, then MP.
