Won my tie 54 - 52. Could have easily lost it though as my opponent's team had major disciplinary problems - 5 of his starting players got carded, including a red card for his keeper and a yellow for captain Rooney. Nevertheless I'm through and marching on to round 2.

The chap who is in 1st place overall just got knocked out of the cup by a zombie team who has made 0 transfers & is more than 2.5Million places behind him!!
15 points came off the bench, Parker (13) & Agbon (2) for Baines & Giggs & vice captain Cech bringing in an extra 6 (RVP was his captain) to win by 4....... & I'd say he will never even know it!

Try telling that guy about bad luck while he tells you how skillful he is at this game lol!

If you want to keep going in the cup you might as well wait until the draw is up, that way you can gauge whether or not it is worth risking a hit or not, your opponent may already have taken a hit or it could be a zombie team that you're confident of beating either way. I'd say a lot of poor players could have scored well yesterday.

A cup competition is different to the actual game though. Anything can happen in a one-off tie.

Playing against someone ranked 1.3mil, been playing since GW2, and has only made one transfer, that in GW4, Wolfswinkle out, Rooney in. They did however, get 54 in the GW just finished, with RVP as captain, and Rooney as VC, that's probably me out then.

I thought you could only see transfers for the GW just played, IE, the previous deadline, or is that just apply to the selected team line up.

if you look at his page where it says transfers and finance(bottom right of page) you can see how many transfers he's made this week, you can't see who he has transferred in or out but if you go to enough trouble you can figure out how much the transfers cost him

Playing a guy ranked 30k, he was as high as 2k at one stage. His team is fairly decimated by injuries and suspensions though so I'm hopeful.

Are you sure that guy hasn't entered his team in recent weeks? (Probably with the sole intention of the cup)

There's no way that a zombie team with those players would be ranked 3.1m out of 3.12m teams
