I dunno about the players tonight but I love playing games in these kind of conditions.

    I'm guessing you're not a winger/fullback...

    3-0, praise JJ.

I predict a Connacht penalty try at some point.

    Our scrum is getting mangled.

    Thomond park looks well.

Wilkinson driving very crooked though from what I can see.

Frank Murphy is absolutely killing Connacht's attack. Poor decision making and far too often the receiver is having to check their run and take the ball on their inside shoulder.

That was a shockingly bad decision there to go blind too.

Was Earls about to drop that or did the tackle do it for him? Sort of looked like a bit of both.

    Good chase from Henshaw.

    Good chase from Henshaw.

It slipped from his grasp just before the tackle

Why are the refs more favourable to connacht in h cup but not in the pro 12 strange.

Suicidal stuff from Parks who can claim an assist for that try! Good finish by JJ though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,773 ✭✭✭connemara man

Parks invited JJ in there gave Kearney no chance

    Criminal from Parks

Good jaysus what was Parks at there!

Only switched on around 10 minutes, his kicking looks very dodgy to me tonight. No idea where he thought he was putting that ball.

    JJ try.

Parks really is useless. Terrible kick to set up the try and then lets JJ walk in.

What do you mean (in the context of this game) ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Was it Parks who chased the kick and then tried to tackle Murphy when it wasn't his man too? That's what created a massive hole for Downey.

Clever play by Hurley for the try. Borderline but smart and got away with it. His decoy line was straight into the defender trying to cover across and helped make a gap for JJH.

Connacht have the physical edge to win this if they can cut out the stupid basic errors. I'm not sure they can actually do that though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

    Connacht
JJ is hard to stop from close range, lovely little player.

Horrible conditions, lots of handling errors... our scrum and lineout under a bit of pressure, conceding lots of penalties.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,906 ✭✭✭jamiedav2011

Brainless from Healy, must be learning from Fionn...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Bizarre call from the referee at the line out. That's where the TJ should be having a word given he'd clearly have seen the Connacht jumper didn't touch it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭eyeball kid

That was clearly off DOC in the lineout.

    Connacht
JJ's a lovely little player, really has a touch of class about him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 967 ✭✭✭Anatidaephobia

    Very poor decision.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,773 ✭✭✭connemara man

That came of DOC bad call

Murphy criminal at that ruck to cause this penalty

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,906 ✭✭✭jamiedav2011

I'd say Lam is rueing not starting Marmion now.

    JJ playing well so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,107 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

9 and 10 a complete disaster for Connacht so far, for every point Parks gets you he costs you two. Murphy is nowhere near the standard required, especially noticeable now that Marmion is on the scene.

Surely the ref should've let play continue and checked it back after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 967 ✭✭✭Anatidaephobia

Connacht have been a bit unlucky so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Munster in the good side of the ref calls really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

    Connacht
That was a super take from Earls.

Kicking seems fairly aimless from both sides

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Nice one Dunc

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 541 ✭✭✭accidentprone1

Surely that was a knock forward on the catch from Hurley(?) earlier?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,906 ✭✭✭jamiedav2011

A combination of Connacht being rode and 9/10 ineptness here, Munster look toothless enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 967 ✭✭✭Anatidaephobia

    What? Surely that went forward?

He's got lovely skills. Great runner and passer. He needs more games to improve his decision making. Too often he kicks the ball away aimlessly when there's men outside him or goes into contact, trying to do something special. He reminds me a little big of Madigan. On talent though, he is close to usurping Keatley already for me.

Tackled player getting back up, a knock on in the 22, and an off side. 3 big calls gone Munsters way, Connacht getting frustrated now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 817 ✭✭✭Chabals Beard

Parks looks to be targeting Earls with the high ball, not working now bar the first one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,773 ✭✭✭connemara man

Murphy is killing us between him an parks you can pinpoint where Munsters points have come from

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

    Connacht
Williams did well there, he's always strong in defence. Another player who I think might have been better in another position, his general passing isn't great.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    What? Surely that went forward?

Indeed but I wouldn't blame the referee given how far away he was. Again, the TJ should be assisting on these calls.
