I'm currently in third year in business studies in college and must start up a business in February as an entrepreneur, it will obviously be small but it must make money, I have no idea what to set up and am wondering does anyone have any ideas ? or things they have started up with. It can be in anything.

that cant really be answered it all depends on what you are capable of/the time you put in/knowing the area your looking to get into.
did they not cover any of this in college?

    different people will advise different.
noone is really going to tell you what they are making easy money.
i feel you have a long hard road infront of you if you are asking here after 3years of college,

Is it just a short term thing you have to set up for college or are you meant to run it for a certain period of time? I would focus on skills you already posses so that you aren't getting in to anything you aren't really familiar with. If you are any way creative the easiest thing to do is make something decent and sell it at markets & fairs hard to go too wrong with that and start up costs will be minimal.

here is an idea...Mobile phone apps consultant.

hundreds of thousands of apps and many people/businesses dont have a clue about them...If a person was really informed about great functional apps they could spot market opportunities and advise business etc on benefits of adopting such technology...and assist with setting up such etc.

You should start with something you're passionate about or at least very interested in. Be it movies, food, sport, or something else. Will make the task a whole lot easier. You're likely to be marked on how you go about it more than the end result.

What kind of business studies is it? Does it have to be something close to what you are studying? - Marketing focus, Hospitality focus, etc.... Is it to be product or service based? Then look at your skills and see how they apply. Then look at possible markets. Then look at your assets - anything at home, money in the bank, etc - your limiters. Try a broad focus to begin with and narrow it down to a workable solution rather than dozens of narrow points based on a skills or limits you have.
Time is a limit that will affect you in a number of ways. Whatever you decide market penetration needs to be pretty much instant which can in turn limit who you approach with whatever you chose to sell.

Plant seeds of popular garden plants.
    Cut grass.
    Trim hedges.
    Clean houses/hostels/small hotels/pubs
    Knit
    Carve
    Sell advertising space on something
    Set up a walking tour
Loads of stuff - it does, as others have said - depend on you.

Source product A, add your own contribution/adaption (or not) sell for more than cost plus expenses = profit.
