Google Chromecast problem

I bought one for my Dad for Christmas, and was setting it up last night. I set it up no problem, but I need a physical connection for it to work with my Dad's sound system. I think a HDMI Audio Extractor will work, but I don't know where I can get one for a decent price, anyone know of a website/shop that sells a competent one for not too much?

Much easier to just output the audio from the TV to the sound system, this can be done with most modern TVs with a standard 3.5mm headphone to headphone cable or a 3.5mm headphone to RCA cable. This way, whatever's being played on the TV (Sky, Chrome cast, Blu-Ray etc) will go through it. Make sure sound system is in Aux mode.

My Dad has everything set up with one controller (A Logitech Harmony one). This won't interfere with any of his set up will it? it won't mess with his other device connections to the sound system?

Yes that's them and it won't effect the remote setup either, only difference is the sound systems current mode (Aux).

Alright, I'll just buy em both seeing as they're quite cheap, thanks for the help.
