Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Del Potro has announced he's making his comeback in Brisbane. I seriously hope he's actually ready this time and not just coming back for the sake of the new season.

    Great line up in Brisbane!

Can't wait for new season and fit Rafa :)

As well as hiring Lindsay Davenport as part-time coach, Madison Keys has brought Wim Fissette on board.

Pretty decent duo! Looking forward to seeing if it'll make any difference to her game.

^ Keys looks like one of the best of the young American women. Now is the time to get that good team around her. Nobody needs another Sloane Stephens.

On a slightly less tennis-related note, picked up a bag of Sugarpova from TK Maxx.

Little did I know they were a year out of date!:(

Agnieszka Radwanska has hired Martina Navratilova as another coach. Tomasz Wiktorowski (sp?) still on the team.

Huge news imo!! Looks like Aga wants a Grand Slam in 2015. Biggest coaching coup, I think. Excited to see how it'll pan out.

Intriguing. I also read somewhere else that she was looking to put on a few kilos of muscle during the off season also.

Interesting!! All reads like someone aiming for a Grand Slam title next year imo. She's got a decent chance of winning any of them.

Would love to see her win one!! I love watching her play.

I'd love to see her win a slam as well. She's too talented not to win one. I think for a player like radwanska, who's game relies so heavily on running and having good defense, she needs to win one sooner rather than later. I'm not saying she's over the hill or anything but she's not exactly on the young side of the game either.

John Isner has hired Justin Gimelstob as his new coach. Perfect match those two.

Jamie Hampton won't be able to return until April at the earliest. Jesus.

Fissette and Keys end their partnership after only a few days. Keys will still be coached by Davenport, plus her husband Jon Leach. I think the first arrangement would have been better.

^ Quite early to end the partnership but I suppose if you know it won't work, then that's that. Sneaky suspicion Keys might regret it though. I doubt Wim will be unemployed for long....someone will snap him up!

Bad news about Jamie. She is having a rough time of it!

Many, many empty seats at the tennis in Dubai!! Wonder will organisers come back next season.

According to Bhupathi, 4 cities are interested in hosting teams in 2015 but they can only sign 2. Could dump Dubai if numbers don't improve.

I see mumblings on Twitter of Delpo having pain in his wrist again.

^ Would be a disaster for Delpo!! I'm really looking forward to his return. He's too good a player to have one Grand Slam imo. Hope it's just speculation.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,537 Mod ✭✭✭✭yerwanthere123

Agreed, but I fear it's all he'll ever win. Would have been fascinating to see how many he'd have won without the wrist troubles. I reckon he'd have at least two.

Ah ffs!! Hope to God it isn't true. Bad enough that BT have the majority of the big rugby matches.

This would be a huge blow to BBC. I wonder how much BT are offering to have split rights.....

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,537 Mod ✭✭✭✭yerwanthere123

I highly doubt the BBC will allow it to happen

Daniela Hantuchova is after getting Carlos Rodriguez as her new coach. Sounds like she wants one last push before it's all over.

Veeeerrry interesting that one! I wouldn't be surprised if Daniela retired after the 2015 season. I've a vivid image of her crying at the back of the court mid-match against Ai Sugiyama (I think) at Wimbledon. Anyone remember the year?

Tomas Berdych has hired Dani Vallverdu. Wonder will he pass on any info from Team Murray?:p

It's kind of funny that Berdych couldn't get Ivan Lendl and then went for someone else from Murrays team instead. Judy was his next choice.
