Zoom 4501 router on 02 mobile broadband

    Hi folks,

    Does anyone else use this type of router for mobile broadband? I have followed the manufacturer instructions and various forums but still have the same problem. The router will not pickup the ip / dns from o2.
    At the end of the setup process the router confirms that internet connection is available. However looking at the setup in the admin section of the router internet page it is using the LAN address (192.168.1.1) as the primary and secondary dns address, so there isnt a true internet connection at all.
    I have taken the settings directly from the huawei E 3131 connection tab - Apn, username password etc and ensured the router has the correct firmware to be compatible, but no joy. Just frustration.

    An update to anyone who has this problem going on forward.
    THE E3131 HILINK dongle takes the 192.168.1.1 address for itself so was causing an ip conflict, thats why the router wouldn't connect to the net. Changed routers default address to 192.168.5.1 and entered the o2 APN. No other settings. Connected dongle first time and working a charm now.
