Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Edinburgh for New Years :) Where to go ?

    Hey People,


    I'm just looking for recommendations of pubs and restaurants etc.

    I have tickets for the street party but if it's too cold we do need a backup plan so any ideas for a good pub that we would have a chance of getting into would be great biggrin.png

    We're staying near the train station but close to Cowgate so thinking we'll probably end up out mostly in the Cowgate & Grassmarket area but wondering are we missing on the better nightlife parts by sticking to there ?

    It's just two of us myself and sister both in our 20's so want go to lively places smile.png

    Restaurant wise now just plan enough food wouldn't mind paying a lot as long as it's worth tongue.png

    Sorry this post is abit all over the place head is spun from googling all these places tongue.png

    To be honest the Cowgate and Grassmarket are both pretty good for heading out in. I mean there's all the posher clubs and bars on George Street in the New Town but I really don't like them. Sticking to the Old Town is probably your best bet for New Years to be honest!
