Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Allen was bad against city but this has to be his worst performance since he signed. Absolute crap

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,758 ✭✭✭Strongbow10

My main worry is that Liverpool need to turn in a good performance in order to win, we never pick up points in a game where we've been average

Chelsea are really putting it up to us so far, fair play

What's with all the back flicks

    Sterling all over him.

Mourinhio has the tactics spot on so far.

Rodgers needs to do some thinking and quick. Stay like this and it'll be a stroll to victory for Chelsea

Embarrassing first have for Liverpool. They should count themselves lucky they're only one down. Chelsea dominant all over the pitch.

So this is the famous liverpool midfield that liverpool fans tell me that no way should Steven gerrard start in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,163 ✭✭✭messinkiapina

Should be delighted that we're going in just one behind, but it's hard to be happy after watching that for 45 minutes.

Chelsea on top at half time 2-1

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,279 ✭✭✭slingerz

It's been harsh on Cissokho who was actually decent v City to be dropped.

Midfield physically being bossed by Chelsea, Lampard in particular been very good

Defence has been very shakey always looking panicked when the ball is in that area

Chelsea should be further in front. Great game so far.

Sakho just made a rod for his own back swapping shirts at half time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,067 ✭✭✭✭Tusky

Johnson is having a terrible season - looks like he has just eaten a full Christmas dinner five minutes before kickoff. Skrtel dreadful for the second goal - more interested in getting his hands on Eto'o than going for the ball.

Scrappy half of football. Hope the 2nd is better.

Lucky to be only one down, we cant change ****e either with our bench really. Hazard has terrorised us. Glen johnson, bin.

A European thing, just not done in England.

Liverpool don't have the squad to deal with this sort of fixture list.

The three gave as good as they could but they're a yard off the pace and 2nd best to everything.

Another ****up by Mignolet and another terrible performance from Johnson.

Suarez has been isolated and pretty much given the ball away every time he has managed to get a hold of it.

Can't see us getting anything from this unless Chelsea get complacent.

Scrappy half of football. Hope the 2nd is better.

Was it? We played some of our best football of the season in that half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Chelsea on top but they have created **** all really. Liverpool have created just as much if not more. I just hope Chelsea sit back and take the 2-1.

    Grates with me too.

You're enemies from the moment you walk out onto the pitch to the moment the final whistle is blown as far as I'm concerned.

    Allen an absolute passenger.

Sakho  I'd fúcking hook him for that tbh.

It's not as if he's playing well either, liability

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,315 ✭✭✭Big Knox

That shirt swap a sign Sakho is going off with a knock?

But, but, but, they said we were better without him than with him

What in the name of FLOCK was Sakho doing swapping jerseys? I hope BR makes him go into the CHelsea dressing room and get it back AWFUL AWFUL stuff.

Thats a disgrace tbh. It looks to everyone like hes ready to knock off.

Liverpool need to play with the aggression they showed in the Spurs and City games.

If they have anything left in the tank, that's the worry

Has to keep his hands warm somehow. He's been a spectator since scoring.

    really big deal guys

Gerrard is probably worse than this lot when we don't have possession, he likes a stroll more than any of the 3 in midfield today

Gerrard is brilliant when you have 70% possession against lesser teams at Anfield

Arsenal away is a primary example

Chelsea's class showed today. Hazard and Oscar are just on fire and their quick feet and passing are destroying us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

lucky to still be in this with Chelsea's intensity.

The tougher league fixtures slowly starting to make the table look a bit more as expected for Liverpool.

Chelsea should go on and win this well. They can bring on Schurrle, Mata and Torres if they need more goals. Liverpool have Alberto and Tracey Barlow as their only attacking options on the bench. The squad is so poor it's ridiculous.

Im watching on Russian TV so dont know if Sky showed it but there was a few of them swapping shirts, not just Sakho and Etoo.

18m? Not convinced by him at all.

Liverpool physically bullied in that half. No control at any time in midfield

Defence looking jittery and panicked when the ball is near

As you would expect, the league is funny like that. (See Man Utds climb from obscurity during their easy run of games)
