Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wouldn't be surprised if Giroud's running fine in 45 seconds, very irritating how often he goes down injured.

    Giroud bollocks himself fouling Tiote?

    Howd he manage that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

Commentator is blind looked like a sore twist of the ankle as Giroud fell over.

Looks like his studs caught in the ground and he twisted something as a result.

    Get Bendtner on

This will be like the Chelsea game all over again, we'll end up with more yellows after being kicked off the pitch.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭Fuhrer

    Hows that not a foul?

How is Giroud booked and Tiote not?

Still no yellow for Tiote??? Lucky boy!

I don't know think it's been fairly even, a lot of kicking from both sides. Arsenal just seem to be getting less of the decisions.

How many fouls does tiote have to make to get booked?

He injured himself while trying to foul Tiote, think Probert booked him out of sheer disgust.

Cue Tiote stopping a dangerous break in the second half to pick up the yellow he should already have

They got a pretty massive one for that foul on the edge of the box which could have easily been a penalty.

:pac::pac: what? it could have easily been a penalty? Go for a cup of tea during the replays or something?

That's one out of a few we should have had, Tiote should at least have a yellow by now.

Well you said it could easily have been a penalty when in fact it was never going to be a penalty.

But yes it should have been a free kick imo

Dont think that needed saving TBH. Looked like it was flying over. Very unlucky with the header, underside of the bar. Would have loed to see that go in, last touch of the half.

Yes, it could have been. Whats so hard to understand about that statement?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,748 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Giroud off for Podolski is needed here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭cadete

It would have had to be in the box to be a penalty. Should have been a free though.

It was outside the box for starters.

Never said it wasn't. Don't see why you mentioned it could have been a penalty though when it certainly wasn't.

Anyway, I have a bad feeling about this game. Started very well, but Newcastle are right back in it. Can't see us getting the win unfortunately!

    How can a non-penalty be a penalty?

Pod for rosicky or cazorla would be my choice

Would bring him on for rosicky myself, pod and Giroud worked well together the other night imo.

seen penalties given in similar circumstances but not even a foul.... very poor, one of the many bad decisions given against BOTH sides

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

The tackle was outside the box, dont see how the lino and ref would have given it as a penalty.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,428 ✭✭✭.jacksparrow.

I think we need more protection, flaminI can't cope on his own, arteta for rosicky for me

Podolski on here for Wilshere or Rosicky here, move santi in central.

Good enough game for a 0-0 i suppose, i do like a ref who lets play go though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Referee is ruining this game, shocking decisions against both sides.

Happy enough with 0-0, need to push on 2nd half but surely we'll be seeing Podolski and maybe Arteta.

    Ref has been poor

It was a bit far off the line to be even close to a peno.

Arsenal need to up a gear, not sure they have the appetite for it yet, need a half time talking too. Giroud not leading the line well enough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,509 ✭✭✭Underground

I wouldn't take Rosicky off we need him on the pitch. We need the energy of himself and flamini to hassle the Newcastle midfield and bite at their heels.

Podolski offers something different going forward but he won't do the off the ball work that Rosicky does

For those wondering how it could possibly be a peno when it's outside the box; it's the same reason why it wasn't given as a foul, when it was a foul - human error.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,509 ✭✭✭Underground

Also infuriates me how completely lacking in any kind of eloquency these pundits are. Fcuking Hoddle pronouncing Cazorla as Cozola, Jesus wept

Maybe the referee didn't give it because he was afraid he'd accidentally award a goal - human error.

If it stays a draw and Chelsea win do Arsenal drop to 3rd?
