Yes a good record. They were an offshoot of Lynyrd Skynyrd after the crash in which some of its members were killed.

I got Primal Scream Screamadelica remastered, Roy Harper Man and Myth and Rick Wakeman Six Wives of Henry VIII live at Hampton Court Palace.

I read the Definitely Maybe remaster sounds even LOUDER than the original. The 1994 CD was bad enough and the vinyl only marginally better.
    What's your verdict?

The album sounds bad bar Shakermaker which really stands out for me but I think the job they did for the b-sides on disc 2 is fantastic. Sad Song sounds much warmer and Listen Up is less shrill.

The Definitely Maybe re-release was one, got the replica 12" of Whatever with it as a pre-order from the Oasis website.

The other was a Marillion live release only available directly from their website, haven't received that yet, though.

What cheeses me off is that you still don't get everything even after shelling out big money on this. The Japanese version has two extra tracks on the end of the original album disc which aren't on the UK release, not to mention the two tracks that surfaced on Amazon which I think were free to download but only for UK customers, naturally. Why they (as in the record companies and retailers) can't sort this sh!t out, I don't know. I had the Japanese 3-disc version downloaded before my copy arrived anyway....

Fantastic album, seen them a few times already this year in their secret gigs and on the tour. This whole new album is a much more mature and complete album.

I'm delighted with it. A good few listens now and I think it's fantastic bar one or two songs. Unfortunately I don't see any Irish dates. I saw them in the Olympia around 1998 and is still up there with some of the best gigs I've been to!

Been speaking to Mickey and Rick and they're looking into coming over here for a gig.

I bought Lazaretto on vinyl a couple of days ago.

The hidden tracks won't play which is a bit of a balls but it's still a cool piece of technology.

Still getting used to the songs but I'm liking what I've heard so far.

Nearly f*cked the record out the window trying to get it to play until I discovered side A plays from the inside out!

Also downloaded The Year Of The Horse by The Mighty Stef this morning! I cannot recommend this album highly enough...

It's a few weeks since I got it. They have an excellent vinyl section so I'd say you'll get it. They have a smaller branch in Eason's on O'Connell Street if you can't get it in Dawson Street. Also Freebird Records on Wicklow Street can be a good spot...
