You are correct. Was getting confused with the days and AM hours etc. :o

    So for my local area

    Today's was 4.59m, tonight's 4.30m and tomorrow 4.56m

    http://www.tidetime.org/europe/ireland/portmarnock.htm

I see you're in Portmarnock. These taken on the beach just before 1pm

Kinsale Platform now reporting 58kts gusting 71kts at 1500 (with 8.8m high seas)...that's violent storm 11 sustained winds (although it should be appreciated the platform is quite high above sea level).

Will definitely be taking a spin to the coast tomorrow! Had my nephew all excited about seeing big waves yesterday but Howth was annoyingly peaceful.

Here is a low quality vid just before high tide. Usually a sheltered beach.

Would love to see some video footage of Lahinch last night. But I don't think anyone dared venture onto the promenade there. Damage is unreal !

Sure! This was taken at the annual Laytown races, first week of September this year. (Think it was the 9th). It's a very tidal beach.

All I can say is WOW! That must have been impressive to watch last night, mother nature in a right ol temper, thanks a million.

Mondays storm is showing sustained storm force winds for up to 48 hours nationwide.
The duration is severe even if the gusts are not looking exceptional
How high will the tides go will determine any damage

That fcuker is standing on someone or floating cause all the air he's full of, no way he'd be caught in a flood

I remember that, what the picture didnt show, was that a lackey was actually carrying an umberella over Berties head earlier. The neighbours on the north strand went nuts over it.
