Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Running time machine on an Airport Extreme?

Just wondering has anyone set this up with the newer Airports ?

I currently have a Mybook hooked up by USB3 to my mac. I'm out of space on the USB hub & although I have the older flatter extreme, I was thinking of upgrading it to the new one & hooking up my time machine through that, freeing up a much needed USB port.

For USB I currently have my keyboard (don't like the bluetooth ones), an external 3TB of iTunes, a USB hub and my current time machine.

The Hub has an external 3TB of CCC backup (to be sure, to be sure), a printer, & two (different purpose) scanners.

If I can hook up the TM to a new AE, it would free up a port & save me a couple of quid as the other option is to get a new Time Capsule.

Would appreciate any input before I pull the trigger on the purchase tomorrow.

    Thanks

I have an older AE and Time Machine works great. Initial backup took a few days but after that it was effortless and didn't clog up my network.
