Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

****in hell Ray Davies sounded like he had about 10 valium before going on. Dire! And I love the kinks.

I think Gary Barlow is very talented, there is no requirement for anyone to like or to dislike certain music.
    People have different tastes.

Well I'd rather drive a porsche than a yaris. The porsche has a wealth of talented designers and high-level engineering behind it whereas the yaris is built to be cheap and commercial but heavily marketed.

    People have different tastes.

Where the hell did you just appear from!!

On a positive note for Ray Davies, I heard him mentioned on a radio show today. The Doors had written "Hello, I Love You" and had themselves recognised that it was hugely similar to All Day And All Of The Night by The Kinks (which it absolutely was)... So they rang Ray Davies.. And ran the song by him saying "it sounds a lot like your song, would you have a problem if we released it".. And Ray Davies told them it was fine, he didnt own the chords... just really decent about the whole thing...

Heard that too, that show with Jim Lockhart and Cait O'Riordan - good listening.

I was forced into being sociable and playing Mario Kart Wii until our new prime minister Gary Barlow serenaded us

One thing about the Hootenanny is the way everyone pretends they are actually at a NYE party, it's slightly cringey

I saw a bit of Joe, why didn't he present the thing if he wanted to rant on about his pet subjects. Ridiculous for the night that's in it. Reminded me why I gave up Liveline.

Ah well. Wagner will be turning in his grave.

(Not the lad from X Factor, the other one)
