Thinking of getting a German Shepherd dog and need advice on breeders in Ireland and I'm wary of buy one off of donedeal, all to ware of puppy farms and are IKC papers a good enough indicator of breeding "they are what they say they are"

The main thing with a german shepherd pup is to make sure the parents were hipscored before breeding and that certs confirming this are available from the breeder. GSDs have such dodgy hips I wouldn't even consider buying one from non-hipscored parents. If the parents are hipscored, that will immediately tell you that you're going to an ethical breeder as well, as no gsd breeder should be breeding them without hipscoring
