I'm glad I took the over on total score.

Thank goodness the colts have abandoned the power running offense and let Luck to his thing.

    Bengals
Luck looked ****ing amazing that drive. Was like watching Aaron Rodgers on top form on that drive the way he took them apart.

Andrew Luck with a Peyton Manning like drive. Clinical!

His first pass nearly took Hilton's hands off.

Since when the f*** does a black guy get stuck with a stupid name like Pep though!?

Sorry off topic, I just can't stand those names for some reason - Pep, Chip, Tagg, Trigg, etc. :pac:

Where was this Bowe during the fantasy football season? Yes I'm bitter.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

That's what sets the top, top guys apart - Smith looked down to where Davis made the foul and decided not to pass there before running into the pile. Rodgers/Brees/Brady/Manning throw that to the WR, pick up 20+ yards in stead, every single time.

HUGE play from Bowe! Terrible safety play, though.

    Should of used the lateral.

    Should of used the lateral.
It was probably tough to tell what was going on at the time behind him for Bowe - the lateral there is nearly always the wrong decision, even if this was the rare time it would have been worth the risk. They still should have been able to slam it in, though.

    Great stop from the Colts.

I'll take the FG after that break by Bowe.

As a niners fan though you should have known better than to take Alex Smith's #1 WR..

To be honest if Bowe had any idea at all how to pass a ball (and no. 88 was on the same page) that would be a score. Everyone always says how the lateral is such a high risk play but any team that runs the read option uses it multiple times every game. Passing a ball across such a short distance isn't a difficult skill to learn, any good under 12s rugby team can make that pass and score.

Ìt's a disaster waiting to happen, the other WR isn't expecting it, pretty suicidal unless time is running out or something. Right decision from Bowe.

One the road in the playoffs in that situation I'd have no problem with my players trying it. Probably didn't even come to mind though it's so rarely used.

It's different when you don't know who is behind you though - Bowe likely had no idea if the guy behind him was wide open as he was, or if he was surrounded by three defenders. If there was a defender near him, it would have been easy to jar the ball as he was receiving it or to contest it out the back of the end zone. It's very different to a read option, when you can see what is ahead of you.

In that situation, you put faith in your running game (and KCs is very, very good) to slam it in from 1st-and-goal on the 1.

Christ the Colts secondary is making Alex Smith look like the second coming of Dan Marino!! They're brutal.

Game, set and match. KC set for their first playoff win since Kurt Cobain was alive.

They only win in the post season with ex-49ers under centre apparently.

People were over hyping the Colts way too much before the game. Knew they'd be found out.

Indy's tendency this year if they fall behind a couple of scores is just to get totally embarrassed though. See St. Louis and Arizona games for example

Playoffs is a different story. Teams seem to have a better attitude when behind as there's no next week to be thinking about.
