Tiny Scratch on Kindle Screen

    Hi,
    I got the Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas.
    So far I have just set it up and used it briefly to read.
    I have no case/plastic sheet cover yet so have just left it on my beside table. It hasn't traveled anywhere with me at all.


    This morning I noticed there's a tiny scratch on the screen when I picked it up. Now it really is tiny (2mm maybe) but I'm really annoyed as I don't know how it happened. When the light setting is turned to the dullest it can't be seen when reading but if the light is on a higher setting it can be seen in the middle of the text.


    Is there anything I can do to fix this- I am slightly afraid to go at it in case I make it worse :(
