Really enjoying it this year, getting me through the days in work.

What an eclectic selection, Jacques Brel! Edith Piaf! eh, Eddy Grant!

No Joe and Keith either :D

Just logged in to post the same!
    The music range is superb!
Glad I'm not going out tonight.
Any ideas who's in top 5?
    A Beatle?
    Will Phil Lynott be there?
Who will be Ireland's top entry?
    Great stuff Phantom!

i suspect that (especially given the events of the year) lou reed is in with a shot of no.1.

I was listening to it when I could. I made a special effort yesterday afternoon!

    The Top 10 was:
    10. Joe Strummer
    9. Damon Albarn
    8. Noel Gallagher
    7. Bruce Springsteen
    6. Jim Morrison
    5. Morrissey
    4. Kurt Cobain
    3. John Lennon
    2. Bob Dylan
    1. David Bowie

The highest placed female was P.J. Harvey at 39.
The highest placed Irish person was Phil Lynott at 36.

    Here is the full list:

If you go through the list, you will see an amazing eclectic list.

Have a look and see what you think.

Was great this year even if there are some questionable choices in there.

Freddie Mercury did get to No. 15 which is still a very good placing.

Would anyone care to discuss some or all of the following placings, i.e. disappointingly low, too high, surprised at their presence, surprised at being above someone else, etc. etc.
No. 492 Bon Scott (former ACDC vocalist)
No. nowhere Brian Johnson (longtime vocalist with ACDC)
No. 478 John Taylor (Duran Duran)
No. 415 Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran)
No. 372 Simon le Bon (Duran Duran)
No. 393 Alan Wilder (only non-original member of Depeche Mode - left since)
    No. 297 Eric Clapton
    No. 162 Beyoncé
    No. 32 Paul McCartney
    No. 31 Liam Gallagher
