Hi I'm currently doing the lc and looking at doing engineering with the preference of doing it in ucd. Due to its ranking, proximity ,facilities and its atmosphere all of which are great from what I saw on the open day . I'm uncertain what I'd like to specialise in so the undenominated course seems perfect BUT I have an interest in one day doing aerospace engineering . I was wondering would it be possible to specialize in mechanical then a masters later on in aerospace if possible and how long it would take. I know its a far fetched goal and it is unlikely but I would love to one day work for spacex or some other similar body however I know this could all to easily change. Im quite indecisive . Any heads up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That would be an option available to you. I know the engineering stream in UL run together during the initial stages and then diverge as the modules specialise in later years. You can also change streams up to 3rd year (AFAIK). But if you an interest in doing aero at postgrad level, check out the entrance requirements of the courses to get a general idea. Check out UL (Dept, of MAE) and Cranfield Uni for an idea of courses.
