    WEEK 5
    WEDNESDAY -rest

THURSDAY - 8 miles steady average pace 8:18

FRIDAY - 6.8 miles, hilly, slow/steady, no watch.

    SATURDAY Strawberry hm, Enniscorthy.

1:34:35. 13 sec pb. (I'm not counting the Avondale hm last Feb, short course).

Grand run, very hilly but I think I paced it ok. I'm beginning to think that the hilly races suit me better, would I be alone in this?
    Splits.
    1. 7:08
    2. 7:21
    3. 7:38
    4. 7:20
    5. 7:16
    6. 7:29
    7. 7:07
    8. 7:01
    9. 6:47
    10. 7:15
    11. 7.06
    12. 7.15
    13. 6.56

Forgot to turn the watch off at the finish.
Charles the parrot stuck with me till mile 8, finished with a respectable 1:37xx.
The hilly nature of the course is reflected in the splits. Even though I still think my pb is soft I can only be happy with this run

I'd say your time is 2-3 mins quicker on a flatter course alright. You'll see big improvements on that in Athlone in September.

    20@HM effort
    5 min easy

    2x45 sec @ 3k effort
1mile hard and finished off easy.

Nice one barry. Are you doing those efforts by feel or off the watch?

    TUESDAY 24.06.2014
6 lunchtime miles today, slow/steady. Headed out Ringsend direction. Very humid out there today.

    RHR 43, 9:00am

7.8 very hilly miles this evening. Very humid again. Did 6/7 short, hard but controlled strides. Legs feel really good after this run.

RHR 41, 9:00am. I think I'm on the way out. Seriously, I don't know what to think about my RHR. It's averaging out at about 43 over the last week. Honestly didn't think it was this low. I used to check it the odd time, at different parts of the day and I thought it was around the 50 mark. I'll just have to keep an eye on it..........

I wouldn't worry. Last time I checked my RHR, it was 39bpm.
Maybe you've just got a low HRMax like me? (177bpm)
