Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ohh I don't know how to feel about that! The acting was superb though, esp the scene between Mark and Beth.

I don't know who had a scarier face in that room, Miller or Hardy after Leo's confessions!

Well that was poorly done. The pace of the last episode was all over the place.
The series had the feel of a poor soap opera..
7 hours I will not get back again.

I think they could have wrapped up in 6 episodes. The mass scene added nothing. Just bulking it out

Waste of time that last episode. From the repeated, ridiculous 'wait, it was.. this guy! <cut away>' to the ludicrous reveal of this sadistic, cardboard character we never gave a toss about... just write the story you want to tell instead of trying to outwit everyone with these pointless plot twists.

Frustrating episode but I really enjoyed that season. Not a patch on the first but way better than 2 and most other crime dramas.

Finale was all over the place but I still enjoyed it. It could only be Leo given he was the only non main character that had any screen time, season 1 set that trend. Didn't see the twist though. Nice. The scene where Leo was showing Michael the porn and he was all dodgy about it makes sense now.

I just hope this isn't the end of Hardy and Miller. It didn't feel like much of a send off and felt like an opening to something new but then again Chibnall loves his red herrings. Dammit.

Any suggestions on similar shows? Seen The Fall, Happy Valley, The Missing, The Five amongst others.

I loved this series but let down by the ending.

I am currently binge watching Line of Duty and if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it

Unforgotten and River are another two worth looking up. Both star Nicola Walker, who's almost as good as Olivia Coleman!

Unforgotten and River are excellent. Just finished season 2 of Line of Duty and its a fantastic too. So many twists!

I love Broadchurch but the last episode was a big let down.

Off to search those out...have just watched season 3 of line of duty in 2 nights -it's even better than the first 2! Going to try and catch up with season 4 before Sunday nights episode on BBC:)

I usually hate when my favourite shows end and I'm casting about looking for a replacement but was a bit meh about the ending of broachchurch this time -it was a clumsy way to tie the porn story and the rape story but the acting is superb and I am a little in love with both David Tennant and Olivia Colman :)

Haven't read through the thread in order to avoid spoilers. I annihilated The Missing S1&2 in 2 days and am on the lookout for more of the same.

I didn't realise there was a S2 of Broadchurch let alone a S3 - are they both worth watching? I quite liked Season 1.

The Missing was excellent. I binged on it too while down with the flu a few weeks ago.

Season 2 of Broadchurch is ropey as hell imo but still worth it to watch Tennant and Coleman at work. Such good actors!. I thoroughly enjoyed S3. I felt a bit short changed by the finale but was happy with how the season panned out. Great TV!

Season 2 was terrible (storywise, the actors are great) so I'd nearly just skip it. Watch Season1 again, read a summary of Season 2 online so you know the outcome of it and go straight to Season 3...

I'm nearly halfway through S2 now so I'll stick with it, kind of enjoying it so far!

If you like shows like that I would recommend some of the scandi shows, I can recommend case and trapped big time!

I'm usually a big fan of Scandinavian drama but I just couldn't get i to Case at all and packed it in after 4 episodes. Does anything ever happen in it?

RE Case - I enjoyed it, it picked up as it went along for me

I finished S2 last night, it's been a while since I watched S1 so it's hard to know how to compare them, but I thought S2 was decent enough - it was a little far fetched, but I'd be curious to hear why others thought it was so bad?

Holy hell, thanks for all the heads up on line of duty. What a show!

I'm half way through episode 5 season 2. Mind blowing stuff altogether!

the whole red-herring suspect format has been done to death at this stage. it's very much long in the tooth and needs to be given a rest for a while. won't miss broadchurch if that's the end of it. didn't watch season 3 after the first 2 episodes. I do like David Tennant as an actor. Olivia Colman is good too but she gets a little too much credit sometimes.
