Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The gunners vs Cardiff, manager Elect ole gunnar solskjaer beside Bond villain Vincent Tan at the emirates.

Should be a decent match, with the gunners needing to win.

    Have at thee.

The wet pitch is holding up the ball a lot which is a shame.
Santi and Jack not in the game yet.

Napoli at home. Easily our best performance of the season too funnily enough.

    Thanks all :)

anyhow, Walcott our main threat so far, the pitch looking heavy. Dont think we'll be trouble too much at the back today

What is up with refs these days giving no penos or cards these days.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,608 ✭✭✭cathalio11

Watching with Portuguese commentary. I minimise to type here but it's so difficult because the commentators get so excited and when I switch back, the ball has just been passed at the centre circle.

By the way, congratulations on the new born, pal!

Refereeing has been shocking all year, that ref is way out of his depth and is about 2 stone ocer weight too.

he's definately not in the shape one would expect for a top level ref. 70k a year gbp. at least he should be in great shape.

How bad has Wilshere been lately. Keeps giving the ball away and losing control of it his touch has seemed to desert him.

Every time a team attacks we just sit back until their at our box, no pressing just inviting them on.

I must be watching a different game, should of had a smack there he seems to take too much out of the ball at times.

We are fe*kin slow as a snail.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,174 ✭✭✭Irish Aris

very slow first half. At times it feels we are playing with no striker.

    I wonder if Wenger should try Bendtner. . . (I know, I know. . .)

Ya Wilshere is the only one who looks like creating something here. Miss Giroud today.

Poor so far. haven't really been troubled at the back though so am confident we'll grind it out in the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,409 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

I think we'll push on in the 2nd half.

When has Theo actually taken a man on?
Sagna's crossing is poor when he actually manages to try one.

Some lads need to step up now.
Cardiff are poor but being allowed chances.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

    i'd throw gnabry on.

Thats why we miss The Ox hes not afraid to take a man on, Theo should be knocking the ball past the fullback and running onto it with his pace.

I'm very disappointed with Walcott's unwillingness to run at players like he used too. And when he does, he seems very nervous and just runs into them.

Thierry Henry would just knock the ball down the line and roast the defender for raw pace.

Even the Ox takes on his man and is very good at it. Gnabry has his moments too.

So I am disappointed that our fastest player is too hesitant to do so.

EDIT: Gringo just nipped in before me :)

Agree he is more direct, even switch Walcott out to the left and put Gnabry on the right it would add a bit more natural width and more pace to the team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,065 ✭✭✭MaxPower89

All a bit too slow really, everything doesnt have to go through Arteta or Flamini, would like to see Kos push on with the ball and the midfielders push further up the park. Cazorla looks very out of form, this is a pity. Wilshere the only one who will beat his man and cause some danger.

Perhaps Rosicky could make the difference in the last 20.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Nobody in our team takes on a player anymore. It used to be Wilsheres specialty but he now seldom does it. Bring on Ganbry i'd say.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Arteta off, wilshere back to that position, cazorla in the middle, wally wide left, gnabry on the right. need the pace with no Giroud to bounce passes off, Poldi is coming deep to get the ball and we've no focus up front. reminds me of Sunderland at home in the first game of last season.

Well at least somebody scored (albeit 9 months ago :D). Big congrats. Nothing like it when they sleep on your lap or chest and the whole world is just passing by. Brilliant.
Hopefully not one of these frustrating ones

Looks like it already. I was worried about this one and the rain is not helping. We need an early goal in the 2nd half or else.........

Streams not great today. Could I only find 1 with English commentary and the res is pretty poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,409 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Monrael is playing very well and posing them more problems than our strikers.
At least he's not afraid to take on a man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Really annoys me that we rely so much on our RB and LB for our attacking options.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,398 ✭✭✭dfbemt

here we go, 2nd half and rain pouring down.

    No changes I can see

We're playing into the scoring goals now :D
