That would be a killer blow with Walcott. I currently have Walcott, Mutch, Cabaye and Rooney all yellow flagged.

I'm still holding onto my wildcard though. I refuse to play it until as late as possible.

With you on this. With Ramsey Aguero & Sturridge all to come back from injury there is certainly more value in holding off on the WC.

    GK crisis...

Anyone knows whether Gazzaniga or Davies would start for SOTN, till the time Boruc is injured..Gazza used to play but last 3 Gw's why Davies has been starting...fail to understand...I have Krul and Gazza and Krul's fixture is not good this GW..

Davies was always second choice but was injured as well when Boruc was initially ruled out, it'll probably be him until Boruc is back, he'll almost definitely come straight back into the team when he's right.

If Walcott is confirmed out for a while at least it'll throw the cat among the pigeons a bit, everybody has him anyway. I'm now considering trebling up on City attackers until the little fella returns, I just hope that if it is true Wenger won't fool around with him on the bench again for a few weeks.
What are the thoughts of others as regards a replacement for Theo?

Is Gerrard back to full fitness? Decent replacement for Theo is he is imo.

Absolutely, Coutinho is another though he has let me down hugely both times I've owned him this year, not sure if I'll go there again. Thing with Gerard is that he won't be standing over too many of the scorable free kicks when our friend is hitting them so well, assume he'll remain on Penno's but surely Suarez will want them as well to safeguard his golden boot??

I think I've missed the boat on Yaya(I assume he's one of your 3) so might just go for Oscar who's hit form and not too expensive at 8.7. It will be him or Ozil.

Ozil is the popular Theo replacement judging by totalfpl transfers. Oscar close behind. Silva is good option too IMO

I favor Ozil myself, Arsenal's Jan fixtures are good and he should be fresh. It was only a minor shoulder injury too I think which kept him out

Would wait for official confirmation on Wally, he is getting a scan today apparntly, Wenger said it could be just a kick or else strained ligaments. The latter would keep him out for a few weeks probably...

    Ozil or Yaya.
I already have Silva so I'd be more likely to go for Ozil
Either way it makes a sh!te of my WC plans.
I kinda wanted to get Terry back in, even at 6.3m. I could just downgrade Lukaku to Ade I suppose.

Has to be Ozil or Oscar for me if he is out. Waiting for some official news before jumping.

This Walcott injury is very annoying considering I have Walcott but also because I was going have both Oscar and maybe Ozil as well, along with having Silva whenever I used the WC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,469 ✭✭✭Shedite27

This is becoming a bit of a disaster of a wildcard week for me. From my original draft, looks like 2 of my mids, Walcott and Cabayae could both be more serious that first thought.

the people that arent on wildcard though may need to take hits to get rid of injured players.

ye dissapointing ozil was becoming a bit of a differential. I was going with walcott and ozil aswell.

Same here, what a balls of a time it's been these last few GW's.

I can afford one decrease for Walcott without it costing me anything, so I'm going to sit tight until then anyway.

Walcott out for 6 months!! Time to get rid.

No idea who I'm gonna bring in for him. My midfield is currently Silva, Hazard, Colback and Eriksen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,470 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    never expected that.

    wow.

it's a killer too. those slow to rid themselves of Ozil and Ramsey have been given a reprieve.

Right, might play the wild card tonight so...

i'm thinking this exact same thing.

i wanted to take advantage of price rises, as well as what's going on at the end of January, but this GW is turning into carnage.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,417 ✭✭✭Miguel_Sanchez

Was thinking of just benching Walcott for a few weeks and sucking it up. Obviously that ain't happening now!

Still think I'm going to hang in there though and wait to play the wildcard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,186 ✭✭✭G1032

Have to bring in Ozil now. WC plans up in smoke

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,818 ✭✭✭swoody

Walcott's season is over......out for up to 6 months!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,129 ✭✭✭NabyLadistheman

Holy smokes! Will get Ozil in for now and downgrade Cabaye. May switch to Ramsey in a few weeks when I do wildcard!

Any word on cabaye .....this is turning into an utter disaster !

Thinking Ozil back in fro Walcott?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,734 ✭✭✭Fowler87

Awful news for Walcott especially in WC year too. For fpl hes been sensational for my team and has salvaged my season somewhat. But for his transfer in Oscar, lets sees what ya can do!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,692 ✭✭✭Danger781

Wally to Ozil done with 0.0 left in the bank..

    Talk about luck :)

Dunno what to do now. Wanted to wait to use WC but have Walcott and used my FT already :/ Guess I have to either take hit or use WC tonight :(

More disappointed for Walcott though. Some sickener.

Yeah but he is now the main attacking force in their midfield. Ramsey and Wally both out means they will line up with something like..

    Cazorla Ozil Arteta Wilshere

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭zarquon

Hmm, tempted now to take a punt on Oscar. Already have Hazard but Oscar could be a good differential

Ya I know.....I had both Ramsey and Ozil when doing well but got rid while ago,
Not going to WC till end of month but have 4 players injured as of today! ( don't have Theo.".rough news for him)
Have Cabaye and Rooney....given Utds current state am thinking of downgrading Rooney to JRod to allow money for Aguero at end of month.
That would be my FT this GW.

Hmm, I can afford Ozil or Yaya. I'm thinking Lallana though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Taking a punt on Gnabry and then on Chamberlain when he is back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,818 ✭✭✭swoody

funny how rumours of pedro to arsenal coincide with walcotts injury :pac:

I brought in Ozil. Going to leave Lallana until WC. Still not decided between him and Cabaye. Only sold Lallana a couple of weeks ago for Silva.

Lads, could someone confirm for me that I can afford to let Walcott drop 0.1 without affecting my selling price?

    Current price: 9.6
    Purchase price: 9.1
    Selling price: 9.3

    I don't trust my own maths :o

You can wait. You've risen 0.5 and only gained 0.2

bad news the more big hitters the better for those of us trying to catch up in paid leagues. With walcott out for the season I may finally be going to the dark side and signing aaron ramsey when he returns from injury.

I'm not sure about Ozil. He had poor enough returns before his injury.

What wildcard midfield are you looking at now? Lallana entering your thoughts at all?

Will have to take a look at it. I was going with jay rod so hadnt been thinking of lallana that may change now. Will definetly have ozil, hazard, silva and one other big hitter I think.

Made a tidy profit from Walcott in a short space of time, and used it to buy in a cut-price Ozil!

Excellent player but inconsistent point returns for ff, ozil is only a bit more expensive and will likely get a good bit more points.

He's had a little rest. If he doesn't work then he's easy replace.
