Honeymoon in Canada

Hi, myself and the fiancé were thinking of honeymooning in Canada. We have 2 friends in Vancouver and we were thinking of getting a cabin beside a lake. Maybe a ferry/car ride away from Vancouver/ We're emailing a couple with a nice cabin but just wondering if anyone would have any recommendations?
