Im with my wife (Polish) since 2006, I found the advert funny, so did she

Ah I just have a low tolerance level for silly people like that. Plus, it was late at night that I saw the advert so I may have been a little grumpy.

I shouldn't but I get really thick about crap like this. Have reported the ad to Donedeal. If they fail to take action I'm sure it can be taken further.

I love Poles and the country. I'm with the missus nine years, visited 18 times and bought a place. They're great people.

To be fair, he's not looking for a wife, a holiday, or buying a house. He's trying to sell a car.

I'm not suggesting the ad is funny all I'm saying is that people are jumping the gun on this when it could be some lads idea of a joke and he may just be laughing at all of the uproar it's generating.

Possibly, while it might be a joke the advert is still racist and should be treated as such.

What would people think if I put up an ad on Dung Deal and said Irish people need not call me since they're all thick?
I would expect a serious amount of trouble over this.

Same as when someone in Australia put up a letting advert saying No Irish, there was uproar.

These :pac::P mean I'm not being serious. Of course he was wrong posting that advert, there's no argument there.

  • Not condoning this but I've sold a few things on adverts.ie to eastern European lads and I've found it most trying. They seem super suspicious constantly. If I agree to meet them to hand over the goods then I always get the "is it working?" question. I just don't understand this as if I was trying to con them I'd hardly say "No it's fcuked!". Tiresome. Why can't they ask this nonsense on the thread?

Agreed to meet one chap to sell a tablet to once and it was like an criminal interrogation. He even chased after me because the tablet was taking a while to start up. Nutcases. They act like they're doing me a favour or something and expect me to bend over backwards trying to convince them to buy. I'm not a salesman for heaven's sake. If you're not sure you want it then fcuk off!

All I'll say is life must be hard in their countries as they seem very paranoid and untrusting of anybody.

Old thread brought back without an update to the OP - lock.
Btw, I'm sure there is a forum where complaining about selling stuff to Easties is ok, but this isn't it.
