Does anyone know if new dock road was flooded - thanks.

Still OK as of 20 minutes ago.

Between Seapoint and the Grattan Rd is closed off. Big bit of water left in the middle of the prom so be wary.

I was in Salthill this afternoon and never noticed that the sand had gone.

Fair bit of damage in Silver Strand also. Lowest part of the road to the beach has subsided.

Really sad about that path (between blackrock and the campsite, along the golf course). It was my favourite walk, much nicer than the prom because it was quieter and there was no car noise like there is on the prom. I heard it's even worse now since these photos were taken, someone told me the whole path is just gone?

I wonder are there any plans to have it fixed?

I believe that this year's council budget included money to extend the prom lighting into this area.

But somehow I have a feeling that there's going to be some budget re-prioritisation done. Looks to me like there are some bits of the prom seawall that will need serious rebuilding.
