    That time of the year again, and im just wondering if anyone knows where theres a drop-off point (if any) for used Christmas trees in the Athenry area, or next best nearest?

    Galway County Council is accepting Christmas Trees for recycling during normal working hours at the following sites for the period Monday 6th – Tuesday 14th January 2014.

    Athenry Back entrance to Athenry Co-Operative Mart off Lorrha Gate Roundabout at Kenny Park

    Ballinasloe: Canal Drive, Ballinasloe

    Clifden: Ball Alley, Beach Road

    An Cheathrú Rua: Halla Éinne

    Gort: Council Yard, Georges St.

    Loughrea: The Pound in the Fairgreen

    Mountbellew: Black Quarry, Mountbellew – Ballinasloe Road (Near 50km speed limit sign)

    Milltown: Galway County Council Office, Milltown

    Oughterard: Car Park, Oughterard

    Maigh Cuilinn: Council Site on Mountain Road (400 metres up Maigh Cuilinn - An Spidéal Road on Right)

    Portumna: Council Yard (Chip depot, St. Brigid’s Road)

    Tuam: Recycling Centre, Athenry Road

    Headford: Council Yard beside Mart

    Oranmore: Oranmore Community Centre

    This service is provided free of charge for the domestic sector only.
