Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A mass brawl has broken out following the pre-match parade in the Cavan and Armagh clash. #rtegaa

The two teams wearing blue in this Dublin v Laois game is a bit ridiculous.

Lovely.... Dublin vs Laois and both teams wearing blue!

Is it just me or has Brolly gone from a useful member of the who started debate and told things as they were to taking this being intentionally controversial to get attention too far? He's just being very ignorant and annoying now. Instead of other panellists making actual valid points it just turns into a chorus of blabber because Brolly feels the need to talk across everyone and comment on what they're saying as they're saying it.

Go on the Laois boys, take it to the Jackeen's.

Yeah, Brolly is getting annoying. He says things for a reaction. Instead of constantly interrupting people, he could actually let the chat flow.

Happens every time in this fixture. Ridiculous how it hasn't been sorted out yet. Surely it's a perfect opportunity for the Dubs to market their away jersey

Great start by Laois. My word, the jersey situation is a bit ludicrous.

Laois could have done with a couple of those wides going over.

The Croke Park pitch looks like Oriel Park.

    Have new seats been installed?

You would not want to be colour blind.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,048 ✭✭✭Da Shins Kelly

Laois would wanna be putting those over the bar. Two great saves by their keeper though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

Why the feck isn't Hawkeye being used?

A few dodgy ones in the Kildare-Louth game too and still wasn't used.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 12,333 ✭✭✭✭JONJO THE MISER

    What a point.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,048 ✭✭✭Da Shins Kelly

Laois could regret those missed chances. They should be well ahead at this point.

How can he bring that back for a free. The advantage was played, he shot, hit the crossbar yet he brings it back for a free.

    Ridiculous call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

No mention by RTE yet of the kickout strategy and how both teams are doing on their own kickout.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

    Some hit by dandy.

Dublin didn't score. That's how he can. It's strange how often thesetyp es of decisions favour the bigger teams.

Some great points from Laois, they need to be putting more over though.

He was in a more advantageous position than the free. The fact he missed has nothing got to do with it.

People need to understand this rule.

Dublin need to get out of 1st gear😉

No you need to understand the rules. No advantage accrued.

    Advantage
    Advantage Rule is defined as:
“When a foul is committed the referee may allow the play to continue if he considers it to be to the advantage of the offended team. He shall signal that advantage by raising an arm upright. If he deems no advantage to have occurred, he may subsequently award a free for that foul from where it occurred*. The referee shall allow the advantage to run by maintaining his arm in the upright position for up to five seconds after the initial foul or for less time if it becomes clear that no advantage has accrued. He shall apply any relevant disciplinary action.”

new rules in place to allow that. its the right thing to do to be honest.

    Hope Brogan is ok.

Good to see him take Bernard off . Don't need him playing and getting a worse injury . Kevin is a serious replacement to have for him .

Dublin will have the beating of this Laois team. They're not taking their chances well enough.

Really? I would class a shooting opportunity as an advantage. Wouldn't most people?
Just because he couldn't finish his dinner doesn't mean that it didn't materialise.

Those wides are killing them but fair play to Laois they are playing some great stuff here.

Working like devils and putting the Dubs under constant pressure.

If they were that little bit more accurate taking their chances, they'd be well ahead already. Dublin's quality will show eventually, I'm sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,679 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

That's how an advantage doesn't materialise, not after he cracks off a shot

    Great half by Loais.

    Dublin in trouble

You'd be doing well to see better goalkeeping than that in Brazil over the next few weeks.

Interesting that both Mayo and Dublin have started rather slowly.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,442 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Brody in the Laois goals is having a phenomenal game. Very impressed with Laois in the first half.
But you just know it's going to be the same old story in the second half. Dublin will bring on the reinforcements that would get onto most other first teams in the country's starting lineup and end up pulling away.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,750 ✭✭✭iDave

This reminds me of last years Leinster final. Written off before the match. Slender HT lead. Dublin to press on in second
