Dublin thought they just had to show up, typical ignorant attitude from the dubs.
The whole country will be laughing when they loose.

Jesus, in a half won by the underdog, only 2 snaps of their attacking play in the highlights reel before the break is a bit of a mystery?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

Will be very interesting to see how the Dubs react in the 2nd half.

Brody is a great find in Goals, although the post has saved them a few times. It's gonna be difficult for them to keep this up though, they're putting in a big effort.

Will need to pull out a big performance in the second half from Dublin.
Laois are playing well, could be a close score at the end.

    This match on the telly?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,631 ✭✭✭Dirty Dingus McGee

If Laois can survive the expected Dublin onslaught in the next ten minutes they might have a chance.

Munnelly has been class for Laois so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

    Laois will rot.

Ah come on. This is laois, even laois don't believe that they can win it.

I know you have a lot of chips on your shoulder, but that's a pretty spectacular one.

You'd still feel like Dublin have it to lose.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,640 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

Just watchin it now. Pat Spillane says Laois came to play Dublin a couple of years and "set" up the bus. Mixing his metaphors there.

Switch it on and have a look!

Clever play by Laois so far but their full back line is so weak its only a matter of time before the dubs rattle the net.

  • Registered Users Posts: 541 ✭✭✭Hibbeler

really hope laois can hold on but can see the dubs stepping up a gear in the second half. similar to the leinster fianl against meath last year

Sadly yes. The problem is that Dublin score goals more often than not but laois don't.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,264 ✭✭✭✭km79

Colm O Rourke reckons Laois are doing well due to the fact that they have only given up 6 goal chances in one half when usually Dublin get 10-12 goal chances in a game. Do the Maths .
Pat Spillane thinks Laois "set up the bus" last time they played.
Joe Brolly spent most of the first game sniggering as he knew his comments were only going to rise people.
Anyone out there still against Sky Sports coverage?
Even if it means that RTE freshen up their panels a bit I'm all for it !

I was on the net here, the RTE website said they were showing Waterford and Cork replay I think, turns out it's Dublin v Laois.

They're getting through on goal, it's just a matter of getting it past the lad in goals!

Dublin at -5 is evens according to paddy power. I hope it'll be tighter than that.

They always miss a good few goal chances but still end up scoring goals as well 'cos they make so many chances. Laois might try to set up the bus now as Pat says.

    They are showing both!

Makes a change from the ridiculous 40 to 1 on to win.

this match reminds me of the Galway Kerry game from 08.The underdog keeping with the red hots favourites which are under performing. The last thing Laois need to do in this game is to get a goal early in the second half as it will wake Dublin up.Keep chipping away with points.

This O'Gara lad thinks he's playing rugby.

Keeper coming halfway put the field.

Is brody a keeper or a left full back?

Can see Dublin getting their sh*t together now.

    Dublin to win by 10+

Dubs drop the man back, as usual for their 2nd half, and attack from deep with speed.

Laois will struggle to score 2/3 points in this half i'd say.

    Dublin move into 2nd gear.

Think Dublin are that little bit quicker.

If they did, at least there would be no clash of colours.

Very surprised actually that one team weren't supposed to change

Sin é you'd have to say. Very nicely worked goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,750 ✭✭✭iDave

    That is that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Goes very quiet in threads like these once Dublin start winning

    Wonder why ;)

Pretty sure we don't have an away kit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

The fact that Laois have offered very little in the way of a goal threat (bar the one chance Cooper intercepted) was always likely to be a massive burden to overcome.

Really hard to see a side beating Dublin unless they get goals.

Goals or at least accurate point taking is crucial and Laois are a bit lacking in both.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

    Easy Leinster title. No bother
    Laois rotting away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,722 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

    Terrible mistake

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,048 ✭✭✭Da Shins Kelly

Absolutely brutal stuff there from Laois.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

    Nightmare stuff there.

    Bit unnecessary from Cooper there.

    Wretched tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,722 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Lots of needless sly tackles in the last few minutes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Class act Munnelly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

If refs keep giving yellows for stupidity like that, it will never stop.

Give them both reds and you wouldn't be long seeing maggotting like that disappear.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 306 ✭✭fta93

hope we're as consistent in highlighting Begley's needless tackle.
