Very few left, i got 2 b4 christmas for €6 as the Doctor Who+The Beano are sold out now.

It was funny when i gave them the annuals, as the nephew already got the beano but wouldnt let his sister read it, until she got her very own copy :p

Looking at a new Tv either the 40inch Hititachi smart tv posted or this Samsung http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/2474232/Trail/searchtext>5+DAY+DEALS+AT+ARGOS.htm.

Wondering which would be best to go for? Anyone get either TV?

Samsung would be considered a better brand but that samsung tv is only hd ready, whereas the hitachi is full hd. For that price I would go for the hitachi.

    Bought the Hitachi this morning.

It is not the model listed in the description.

    Does not have Netflix.

Had to bring it back to the store.

I would just like to thank the poster who posted earlier in the year about the 'me to you' bear. It was a boxed bear with a jewellery set.
I gave it to my niece yesterday, her reaction was amazing.
    Thank you.

i bought one two hours ago and it was the correct model and has netflix and other smart tv apps

    pretty decent for 299
its a little thicker than i expected but otherwise great

note: you will need to have a Ethernet cable or buy the wifi dongle for smart tv stuff

On a separate but related note, does anyone know whether Argos are likely to restore that €10-vucher-when-you-spend-€100 deal in the next few days? I have 2x €165 Moto G's reserved for collection and I'd hate to go and pick them up today and then find out that if I'd only waited 'til Monday I coulda had €20 back in vouchers...

Nothing about it on their website, naturally enough...

Would have thought that was only for Christmas and not for their "Sales".

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,900 ✭✭✭JDxtra

Very unlikely to appear this side of Christmas I would imagine.

I had a €5 voucher and picked up a kitchen weighing scales ( which I actually needed as my old one died on Xmas eve) for €3.99 and an annual reduced to 99cent. Not sure if those are any interest to you

That is a very good value - surprised they put 8GB Ram in it.

Definitely a bargain for general use, non-gaming laptop.
