    Hi Guys,

Many Thanks for the swift delivery of my Receiver - which I received today.

I have discovered that when the Receiver is put into standby mode , both Audio and Video are passed through for only 30 Seconds and are then switched off (both audio and video from the last HDMI equipment selection are shut down- you can hear a relay in the Receiver clicking).

I have gone through all the settings in the manual and have set :

    "Control for HDMI" to ON
    "Pass Through" to Auto

No matter which input I try (Sky HD , Sony DVD , Sony PS4  or Media Player ) the above issue occurs 30 seconds after the Receiver is put into standby. :(    All equipment is connected via HDMI cables.

I really need to be able to use the above equipment without the receiver being on the whole time.

Please can you help with this issue ?

    Many Thanks

It appears that this is a known issue to Sony and is common to other Sony receiver models also (see below)

    Michael,

apologies for the delay getting back to you - I have checked the manual and this feature is only available on the STRDH540 in their USA, Canadian and Australian models ( see page 60) - however I have asked the guys to set one up in the shop and we will see how we get on, as there appears to be mixed reports online of it working with ARC ready TV's.

As soon as teh guys get back to me - I'll report back,

    ATVB,

The reference you make to page 60 refers to "Pass Through being set to ON" is only available in USA , Canada, and Australia. In all other countries Pass Through can only be set to AUTO or OFF.

According to page 60, When Pass Through is set to AUTO , standby pass through should function.

    Kind Regards

Its a little unclear as it refers to Sony Bravia in the same paragraph:

Sony recommends this setting if you use a

    “BRAVIA” Sync compatible Sony TV.

This setting saves power in the standby

mode when compared with the “On”

    setting.

The guys are still checking our display model and I'll revert as soon as we have tested it ..

    Michael,

The guys have checked our H540 and using these settings:

    Audio Soundfield: AFD
    HDMI Control: On
    Passthrough: Auto
HDMI Audio Control: TV & Amp

They have it working for picture and Audio - this is using Audioquest HDMI cables..

    Kep us posted,

    ATVB,
