Windows 8 desktop icons problem

    I have Windows 8.1 but have had this problem since 8 came out. I have set up an account for my gf on the PC, where I am the admin. Every piece of software I install places desktop icons automatically on both desktops which is okay, but when she deletes them from her account it also deletes them from mine.

    And when I add them on mine they are also added to hers :D

    Any ideas because it's unbelievably annoying!
