Hey lads, I'm going to be starting a research project for college work, and my idea is to how to relate practising music (I'm in a music college, by the way) to another discipline of practice and vice-versa to overall improve your skills in both those areas. I'm considering picking fighting games or competitive video gaming in general as that other area of discipline. I was wondering if you guys would know any good books, documents, biographies, interviews etc. about practising or becoming better at fighting games/competitive video games. I know YouTube has plenty of videos on that but I want to avoid it if I can.

Desk is a pretty famous person in fighting games for being able to make combos videos with his hands that look like stuff only programmable controllers can do.

He's also a pretty accomplished musician, and seems to credit his button tapping talents to learning combos like they were notes in a song.

It's pretty well accepted that even some small amount of musical skill will help you with your timing in FGs.

I actually couldn't plink til I listened to better players doing it and copied them.
