Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What will probably happen now in typical Liveline fashion is that the phone lines will be jammed with other callers who have been struck by lightening

    :D True.

Its probably better to put money aside ever time you make a trip.

It always seems to me that there is so much messing when trying to claim insurance.

Its quite irrational. You pay for a policy, then argue with them for months, then they cut a deal if they feel like it.

    Really its a scam.

Moral of the story: read exactly what you're covered and not covered for before you travel, even if it's 27 pages long.

We might get lucky and have somebody on who has been struck by lightening twice..

Can anybody tell me if there was a reason Joe was out last week?

He's off for the summer for months, only works 5 hours a week (doing very little!), gets paid 300k +.

And yet he doesn't mind telling us about his other projects and what he does.

He shouldn't have sent his policy in. Thats what informed them of the level of cover he had. Had they said they couldn't find it, the insurance company couldn't be sure of which updated copy of the policy he had (they change them constantly) and they wouldn't have had grounds to cancel it.

In fairness he is only a contractor so he could in theory take 6 months off if he wanted. He invoices for his time .....I mean he issues a fee. Not defending him by the way I can't be doing that:D

His holidays are not half as long these days as the Celtic tiger era though.

Its probably better to put money aside ever time you make a trip.

To pay for medical care in America by putting money aside before a trip there you'd want to be winning the lotto on a weekly basis.

Where the Fugg is the insurance regulator (Central bank zombies)

Why are BS policies allowed to be sold?

This is another failure of our weak and useless regulators

Well done to the thousands of spoofers hanging out in the central bank

While I do feel for him, has Reinhard anything new to tell us or is this word-for-word the same as the last session a couple of weeks ago? I suspect it was Joe who called him today.

Is Padraig the lightening guy ? What's his mate got to do with Reinhard(t) ?
