    Hi impega1

I've looked into this for you today and I can confirm that there are still no plans scheduled to upgrade to the Bracknagh exchange to be able to offer broadband in this area. Wish I could offer better news on this however if you would like to get back to me in May I'll check the latest set of plans for this then.

    Thanks

    Al

    Hi impega1

I've looked in to this again and I'm very sorry to confirm that no plans have been made for  Bracknagh. There are still no plans to bring broadband to the Bracknagh exchange.

    Thanks

Thanks for getting back so quickly.

It is a bit frustrating to hear e fibre and other superfast broadband option rolling out in different parts of the country as apposed to no availability of any form of fixed line broadband in my area.

    No problem impega1.

I completely understand your frustration with this and I know it must be disheartening. I'm sorry I can't offer you any better news at present. Hopefully there may be better news for you next year.

    Thanks

    Unfortunately not RoyTheBoy

There have been no plans made to upgrade the Bracknagh exchange. I genuinely wish I could offer you better news as I'm fully aware of the importance of broadband.

    Thanks,
    Roy.

If its still Phone & Dial up now its one of a small group of exchanges (about 50 in ~1000) that never received ADSL. At this point doing so would be a money sink for Open Eir.

    BRACKNAGH

open eir's FTTH 2017-2020 rollout programme with speeds up to 1Gb/s includes premises in this exchange area.

    2017-2020 window. Enjoy.

    Hi RoyTheBoy,

You can view the most up to date information on the eFibre roll out here http://fibrerollout.ie/where-and-when/ or you can check your line number or address here https://www.eir.ie/eirfibreinfo/map/. I would recommend registering your details on the above link and as soon as the service is available you will be notified.
