Hi, Im planning on getting some fruit trees to train on a wire along a west facing fence.
Has anyone any experience of this?
Im looking for recommendations on varieties of apple/pear to try and other fruit that might work!
Also, where might be the best place to get young fruit trees?
    Thanks, I'm in Dublin

Very easy to do and a very traditional (Espalier or Cordon trained) and a space efficient way of growing fruit trees. You need to decide which varieties some require pollinators others are self pollinating. Apples and pears are very good to start with, a little work to start to maintain optimum cropping.

Autumn is usually the best time to plant but you can plant container grown stock throughout the year.
