    if it's 1798 it's almost certainly Wexford,
I'll guess Boolavogue though I'm sure they've a more impressive monument.

Def not Tulach an tSolais in Ourlart or Boolavogue (spot the 98 anorak)
    Clovass isn't a village. Craanford?

Double post. As you may surmise a bit of a '98 Anorak here, not too many hen parties were made dress up as Croppies and go to a re-enactment in Duncannon.

    Inch

Take it away if I'm right.

At the serious risk of ridicule, I'm going to say I though Inch's was bigger? Open to correction though.

It's not a village, the rules are stated in the first post. I might as well put up a screen shot of the road outside my house as there is a monument on it....

Is there any chance of changing the title of the thread then?? I'm sure just about every place has been done over the years and the nit-picking at people that do actually Bother to post a picture after guessing is laughable. I for one would not care about places of interest been added to title.

Strikes me that quite a few people are nit picking about what is and isn't acceptable and it's ruining the thread, I'd be the first to pull somebody up for a post with nothing to identify it but that last one was quite obviously a place of note and somewhere that could have been remembered by anybody who was familiar with the area, none of us are going to know all of the places, if you don't know it just move on.
Perhaps a slight amendment to the thread title is required if we are going to be so pedantic

Correct. An Sraid Bhaile, the street town.
    Or "village"

This place has a pub, a church and a dog, so it's a village by Irish standards.
