    Your last two guesses are probably equidistant to the village in question. The rather ugly non native eye brow thatch houses ended up being in NAMA.

    But I knew it had a planned village look about it:
    "The village's more recent name of Mountnugent comes from a local branch of the Nugent family, originally an Anglo-Norman family who were cousins of Hugh de Lacy and large landowners in Meath, Cavan and Westmeath"

    I believe Nugent was a neighbour of mine but a little before my time. I have been in his home, there was a bit of a draft :)
