Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Right some of you may have seen my post earlier about boozing in the Trafford centre while my missus was shopping.

I thought Juan Mata day couldn't get any better.

Then I got back to the apartment where we have wifi. I almost **** myself.

Me and herself went to the bookies this morning to put an accumulator on to keep the football interesting cos united weren't playing and to show her how to put on a bet. She had never been in a bookies.

£5 pounds and 12 selections later we are about to head out in Manchester with £1200 in my pocket.

Juan Mata day is the best day ever. Club. Casino. Strip club. That's our plan.

A number 7 jersey from the store tomorrow before we head back to Ireland too.

Don't know where to begin with this.

First and foremost we signed him to be a defensive midfielder, his job being to protect the defence win back the ball and bully the midfield. At his best for everton I would say only yaya does that job better in the league in terms of dominating the middle, Fellaini is probably the best in the league for taking the ball back, something we are hugely lacking.

Secondly, anyone who has watched him over the years clearly can see his is much more than just about chest pelting (whatever that even means) and elbows. He is very composed on the ball with a decent bit of skill about him and an ability to pick a past, he is no xavi or iniesta but seeing as this part of his game is the 2nd priority and he isnt the playmaker he does this quite well. He also offers us much needed aerial presence defending and attacking set pieces.

Admittedly his early united performances have failed to impress, but at least give the man a chance to get fit, click with the team and actually reach double figures in terms of appearances.

I find it funny that you insult his 6 or 7 starts so far, calling them cowardly even which is a ridiculous statement, completely dismissing his whole career at everton, and then 5 mins later say its a pity kagawa could be moved on, when he is living off his time at dortmund (im a fan of kagawa, but being honest he hasnt done it yet in a united jersey, still deserves his chance too though, just find your comment ironic and full of hypocrisy)

He wasn't bought to be a defensive midfielder. He was brought in as a midfielder. It is quite clear from the public courting of Fabregas and Herrera that a creative midfielder was the priority (which it is). Having failed to get their targets and in the final throes of deadline day the club moved for 'A' midfielder, Any midfielder and the only player they could get at such short notice. He wanted his big move and Everton were more than happy to oblige at an inflated fee. It was after the event then it's the case, right where do we stick him now- so he's faffed about the middle not really coming or going and was disastrous at key games like City away.

Michael Carrick is the defensive point of the midfield and a fine one too. A player who uses his brain instead of brawn to intercept, shield, move the play and he's been excellent at it since he joined.

The so called need for a bullyboy to harrass and hurry is rather primitive. Those players have their uses but it's becoming less and less so. I appreciate United are missing some bark in the middle of the field but we're a club who focuses (or did anyway) on possession. So possession is key, players like Carrick, Scholes, Fabregas, Kagawa et all People who can keep the ball, manufacture space. Back to Back league titles and European cup finals without a bully go some way to showing why it's not as critical as you think.

And yes, he has displayed cowardly tendencies since he's joined United. Watch him the next time he plays and you will see I'm very much correct. Pip Neville has alluded to similar albeit not in as direct a fashion. And he's not at Everton now, He's at Manchester United. Mediocrity and the glass ceiling mentality instilled there by Moyes won't cut it at this club. End of story. Everton was his level, and I suspect he'll return to that sooner rather than later.

Kagawa is a shame, he's an excellent, intelligent footballer. Key to Dortmund's success a few years ago and that was a great side. He's had chances and hasn't done enough. The way we set up doesn't maximise his ability & he doesn't really fit.

@_OfficialAgent_ World exclusive: #MUFC have submitted #Kroos bid. #FCB hesitant. Player wants move. His agent also keen. #Moyes #ManUtd #EPL #Transfers

All these ITK lads are the same, every tweet is an exclusive or even better a "world exclusive" . Why people even countenance any of their ****e as reliable is beyond me.

That clown Indykalia is doing well for himself thiugh. Got over 100K following him, the majority of which are ****ing gormless idiots that tweet him, telling him how he's spot on with all his info and how great he is. He gives them a retweet and their thirst for recognition is quenched. He's played it well though, must be getting some decent click money.

His previous tweets would name players etc, now he's more vague; like "EPL giants fight it out for Spanish star" or "£30million bid lodged for star striker. CONFIRMED. #mufc #afc #cfc". *click link to read full story (3 lines of rubbish).

They ignore all instances where they are shown up as frauds, but retweet any self-congratulatory, slap on the back ****e that their followers tweet to make them somehow look legit.

Fair play to them, they're prob making some money from sitting on their hole all day, picking names of players and clubs out of a hat and making a story out of it.

Probably not. I have kept checking MUTV all day, but nothing more than the same bulleting with Mata getting off the helicopter, chatting to Moyes, hugging De Gea and walking up some stairs and entering the building with Moyes.

EDIT: And finally the interview is on!

Wikipedia is gas. Once my brother changed (ufc fighter) Vitor Belforts page to say he had died of Aids suddenly. I still laugh at the thought of anyone reading that for the few minutes it was up.

Who reckons RvP magically reappears now? From what I have heard he's fit, but he has not felt 100% himself. The prospect of playing with Mata behind him must make him want to get back on the pitch.

I'm betting we will have a Centre Mid by the end of next week. I reckon we have a few targets and Cabaye may be a bit of a fall back plan. Kroos and Vidal are top of the list now but most likely ungettable.

    What is Mourinho thinking....

Great player and by all accounts a great person too.

The last time I read about Cabaye he going PSG only thing holding it up is Newcastle discussing a fee for his replacement from Montpellier, Cabella (sp)
