Number 7 being saved for Reus

That wouldn't represent any sort of increase on the current deal (would be below it, as far as I know - based on what Nike pay us now rather than the original figure (the figure increased per year).

Sorry was looking at the guaranteed amount. Barcelona are getting 33m euros, Madrid 38m and United 31m with Liverpool in 4th. Obviously incentives would bring that figure higher. But yeah, it should be a massive deal.

Uniteds guaranteed amount will be higher than barcas and possibly madrids.

The Kit deal will one of the largest sponsorship deals for an individual sports team

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the tenacious Brazilian, who recently became a Portuguese citizen - negating the need for a work permit - could be set to join David Moyes' side ahead of Friday's deadline.

The 26-year-old has been with Porto since 2007, and was a key part of Andre-Villas Boas' treble-winning side in 2010-11.

He, has continued to be an automatic pick since, and has been vital at the heart of Paulo Fonseca's midfield this term.

However, his contract expires in the summer and it's reckoned that United will look to make a move for a reduced fee now, rather than going head-to-head with the likes of Liverpool and AC Milan for his signature.

Nonetheless, despite A Bola's claims, there is no guarantee that Porto chairman Pinto da Costa - notorious for securing the best possible deal - will allow the player to depart.

Porto sold Argentine Lucho Gonzalez at the weekend and, having lost a central midfielder, subsequently rejected Fulham's advances for Belgium international Steven Defour.
    ...

    Mirror

Out of contract in summer, no work-permit needed, although cup-tied, Porto didn't make next round of CL so one less reason for him to resist leaving this week. Better and cheaper than Cabaye?

Adnan should seek the advice of Swiss Toni ! :pac:
Hanging wallpaper is also very much like making love to a beautiful woman. Clean all the relevant surfaces, spread her out on the table, cover her with paste, and stick her up. Then you clean your brush, light your pipe, stand back and admire your handiwork

A draw in the Merseyside derby and a City win is the best scenario this week, we'll have to beat Cardiff but it would put us just 4 points off 4th

I really would be delighted with that. A sensible buy, a good player, a huge need.

Won't get too excited until I see something more than The Mirror or A Bola.

Moyes said he's not fully match fit yet but he'll play some part. I think it'd be better if he's subbed on. There'll be hell of a roar in the stadium when his name is announced.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

Looks like Moyes wanted the first few months to have a look at players like a few suggested on here:

"I think we said when we come in that we'd have a difficult summer, that period in the transfer window was going to be tough, but we've had a chance to look at everybody and we're only in the next window now and I've already said we'd be making changes - and Juan is the first."

Last year, Adnan brought a girl on a date to Nando's, he wore a tracksuit, paid £18 for her meal, then to a 3 star hotel to watch X Factor and had her contribute £5 for parking for when his mum picked him up at 9 p.m.

She decided to wait 'til now to sell the story.

There is now a #JanuzajIsTheTypeOfGuy trend on Twitter!

Cracking way of weeding out the money grabbers actually. Any lass who was genuinely interested in him would have been happy with the dinner and to contribute to the date financially herself.

    Well played Januzaj!

I don't but I am 99.99999% certain that he will not leave Bayern this January.

This last week has been Bizarre. So much positive news from the club yet we lost a league cup semi final.
It could all come crashing down if we don't win the Cardiff game. A good 3-0 win with a good performance from Mata would be a dream game.

Not sure I like the number 8 on Mata. Seems odd. Can only hope the 7 is being put aside for someone else. Not that it matters anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,078 ✭✭✭onemorechance

Defender Leighton Baines has signed a new four-year deal with Everton.
    ...

    BBC

Likely means that Moyes will look elsewhere for a LB now. Likely that move was last summer or not at all anyway.

Given there's been zero links to him this window, I'd say it's safe to say he was already looking elsewhere...

To be honest with ya it wouldn't surprise me if Moyes went back for another Everton player. Namely Sheamus Coleman.
I love Rafael but he is injury prone and a right back battle between him and Coleman would be amazing. United play so many games that I reckon both could be kept happy.

I see Moyes going with this tomorrow

    Valencia Fletch Jones Januzaj
    Welbeck
    Rooney

If Rooney is fit, Chico up front if he's not and probably Mata on around 60 minutes for Welbeck.

The Mata transfer has people in a good mood and rightly so I just hope we're not in for a reality check tomorrow, that team if Rooney isn't fit doesn't look great.
