Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hate to rain on the parade but Mata is not the solution. We already have Rooney and Kagawa and since many here seem to think that Kagawa hasn't reached his full potential due to lack of games/played out of position how does this help.

Strikes me as Moyes/Woodward looking to get a marque signing purely to say they can. After last summer they needed something, anything and as can be seen with this thread it is working a treat.

No matter that we have no shape, no defence, no fight or spirit.

I think we've more pressing issues as we really need a CF, given Torres is out for what looks like 4-6 weeks we're an injury to Eto'o or Ba away from a crisis.

To be fair, Torres being fit and playing matches is a far greater crisis.

No Mata that we have no shape, no defence, no fight or spirit.

    Fixed that for you!

Mata would improve us and can play effectively in positions we have players paying poorly in. His record speaks for itself and he has already adapted to the premier league.

Moyes still wants a centre midfield player but that doesn't mean he shouldn't sign world class players in other positions until he gets that central midfielder first.

Just enjoy the moment. Hes a world class player. Worry about the rest if/when he signs. It will be the most exciting thing to happen since Moyes took over if it happens.

Plus, Talent players would rather play with Mata than Ashley Young or Antonio Valencia. So yeaaaaaaah.

We've conceded less goals than Liverpool this season the problem is we aren't scoring and making enough chances.

Everyone knows we'll still need a midfielder but Mata is world class and United are severely lacking in world class players.

If we get Mata Moyes should still be looking for a CM.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find a SkySports camera, push the reporter out of the way, and hold up your "we are not signing Mata" sign!

With Moyes' time spent in Italty and (soon to be) Germany, I'm rather confident we'll sign a CM, only it'll be in the summer.

Oh Christ Sunderland haven't won at OT in 46 years.

And we have been very kind so far this season helping teams end their poor records at OT.

Honesty time. Does Mata (if he signs, which I still doubt) solve the issues in central midfield and defence?
