Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Network Engineer can be a very open term.
Different skill and subsets of skills depending on the environment that you want to go into.
Corporate LAN, WAN, ISP, Carrier Grade, Data Center and so on.

There are some basics though, logical thinking starting with the smallest up to the largest. Never underestimate "turning if off and on".
Experience is key, if you have to offer yourself as a young fella to work for free a couple of weeks or months in the summer do it.

In my professional experience if you are going down the high corp / isp path vendor certs (Juniper, Extreme, Cisco) are looked much more kindly upon with experience rather than some college degrees or anything else.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info.
