Selling tickets through postal order

Not really all about the concert tickets but wasn't sure what category a postal order inquiry would belong to? Anyway, I have to sell concert tickets and the most convenient way seems to be by postal order. Can anyone tell me the steps involved, how the money gets to me, what details I will have to give to the person transferring money, how long it takes, how I know when they've transferred money ect?

A postal order is purchased by the buyer at their local post office and sent to the seller (by the purchaser) through the post in the normal way. You can then bring it into your local post office and get cash for it. Don't send out the tickets or whatever until you have the cash in your hand. Your local post office could have supplied this information.

They just need your name, they pay the fees on their end, so if its €50 it might cost them €52.50 and you get the full €50 on your end.

It is by no means a fully safe way of doing it, it really just cuts down on postal theft by an post employees. They would probably need to make a fake ID to cash it in, and possibly risk being on CCTV cashing it in (dunno if they would bother investigating that far).

The postal order prices are quite strange.

up to 60cent- €15 is 80cent in fees, €15.01- €30 is €2.10
so is actually sometimes slightly cheaper to buy 2.
